Dee and Andy
I requested that Andy not take any photos of me, that I'd pose for him if I could stand behind a heart... I caught him trying to sneak a shot once, and I'd bet he's got some but I hope he'll respect my vanity here... I read that there was a heart in
front of Red's Java Hut on the Embarcadero and I figure I could hide behind that. Well, when we left the painted ladies to get to the other side of town, the map looked like the street crossed Market Street, but guess what, it didn't and I told Ed
to turn right when in hindsight he should have turned left. Market Streed doesn't allow ANY turns, left or right until you run into the Mission District. Oh my, so Andy got a little of downtown, a little of the Mission district, Some of South of Market,
China Basin, the Ball Park and I saw the words Java Hut and a driveway and we pulled in. I looked all over but couldn't find the heart! I asked at the Java Hut but couldn't quite catch what the friendly but English is my second language young man was trying to tell me. I got the gist of it's two blocks north. Well Andy had a good time looking at the boats and we got some soda and sat outside for awhile enjoying the ambience of a great weather day. Andy went on his way to have dinner with a friend and to follow it up with some night shooting. Sure enough two blocks north there was "REDs" Java Hut and the heart!
